Lineage 2 is a tool, huge and original. In real life it is difficult for a lot of people to get success (to organize their business, to hold a supervising position, to get experience of management of people, etc.) because of experience's absence, uncertainty, fear of the unknown and other things.
Lineage 2 is a simulator. If you have leader's qualities - realize them! If you have a desire to engage in business - go ahead! Here you will not lose a seed capital and will not appear in a debt hole (only virtually). And having made the clan, having lifted it and having organized/having adjusted its correct work you really will gain self-assurance. To keep 100 persons (which in fact you have no authority upon and each of whom can tell you to screw off any minute) under your control - isn't it a TRUE LEADERSHIP??
But only weak spirited ones get really addicted and forget about real life. If they did not have Lineage 2, they would have done drugs, alcohol, slot machines or something else+ There are a lot of temptations and the weak person sooner or later will get under influence of some.
For some Lineage 2 is an amusing entertainment for a few times a week, for some - a possibility to challenge themselves, for some - the second and sometimes even the first life... Game itself is a tool and we can only decide ourselves what to do with it.
Cars are for driving and it's comfortable, there are fans that fall asleep with car magazines under a pillow and live in their garages, there are people that use them to go to the nature of weekends to work every day.
Lineage 2 It seems to be a simple word. A simple name which does not ring a bell for a lot of people. But for the some people this word replaces friends, love, studies and, finally, a life. Yes, a life, that's what it is. Lineage as a way of life. Now the quantity of players is more that 20 millions.
Reflect, 20 million people worldwide spend more than 5 hours per day near their computers in Lineage world. It's a big city's population. The age category of players varies from 12 up to 50 (above in some cases).
Is it necessary to speak about the formation of the subculture of gamers MMORPG who live in the small world? Live, work, communicate, fall in love and part. Yes, yes, yes, many people now find their second halves in on-line games.
There are also positive qualities in LA2 which cannot be bypassed. As I already wrote, game opens some personal characteristics of the person and frees these dominants that move people.
In strong alliances the leader (who managed to gather people and having convinced them in correctness of the objectives) is always a good organizer or a natural leader. Only a hardworking and interested in his clan's wellbeing person can become a leader of a popular and respected clan. Small positions with certain duties and possibilities (the diplomat of a clan \alliance, the treasurer, the recruiter, etc.) are shaped. It is impossible to not notice such people.
Assiduity, diligence, aspiration to an object in view, desire to make the life better, are among key qualities that are present anyhow in those who has achieved something in Lineage 2. If the person is capable of something in game, it means that under certain circumstances he can apply these capacities in the real world.
If you go deep into psychology you will see that human nature is surprising. Appearing in world LA2 we all have equal conditions with the basic armor, weapon and a bit of money.
But there always will be those who will manage to earn money with laborious work, and those who will run from the person to the person, from city to city, eliciting: " Give me please 10kk as I need a bow". The some people do it just for fun, but in fact there are people who live like this. Each person has a self-assessment.
Speaking seriously and abstracting from subject of game, it is necessary to tell, that there are 2 dominants in every person which direct his ALL activity. It is a self-assessment - the central requirement of soul. Each person knows his own price. Everything else is turning around this price. The aspiration to conform to that level of dignity we defined for ourselves subordinates our ideas and desires. And an instinct of self-preservation - central requirements of a body. The person wishes to live. This desire is based not on logic or calculation, it is in our nature.
The strongest corporal passion is restrained by the threat of death. All incentive motives are based on these two realities, but only one is a priority. For some fear of death is always on the first place, for others - ambition. Some are ready to loose life for the sake of honor, others honor for the sake of life.
In a situation of a choice there is no logic. The person who considers honor a priority in a certain situation has to choose between dying with honor or defining himself the new price and continue to live without honor.
Love + the feeling that seems to be very real and one that requires personal contact. It seems that there is not place for it a drawn world, but even in LA you can meet this attribute of the real world. I know at least 3 couples which I can already name matrimonial and which were formed thanks to LA.
Before people got acquainted on discos, parties, in the street simply, now fashionable tendency of meeting in the web ( ICQ, on-line games) is getting more and more popular. And it's not as good as it sounds. But relationships born in game, in rare cases lead to success.
In the majority of cases all ends pretty simply. Pain, insults, disappointment. When you spend in the game all day long, you will have nothing to talk with you beloved one after even if you live in one city. All this leads to break ups.
Consider religious point of view Lineage can show you new colors. We all know such game characters, as Mammon, Blacksmith of Mammon, Trader of Mammon and so on. And whether you asked yourself a question who are such Mammons in a real life? Everybody knows something about Bible and what is written there.
God had a son, Jesus, the savior of mankind. But Mephisto had a son also and his name was Mammon. And now there is a question, what context there in Lineage if almost central goal of game (the Quest Seven Press) is calling Mammon to the real world?
It will seem ridiculous to some, but children in the game do not understand an essence of all processes occurring there and playing they take everything on faith. What it teaches us? What were developers' goal when they introduced Bible characters into the game? Only game's ideologists can answer these questions.
